Theatrical tastemakers since 1956
Known as ‘the writers’ theatre’ the Royal Court has staged inspiringly innovative theatre since 1956, launching the careers of many of the world’s most prominent modern-day playwrights. Located in Sloane Square, it was the first UK-based theatre to showcase the works of influential and fearless writers, such as Bertolt Brecht, Arthur Miller and Athol Fugard. Over the years, the Royal Court has also commissioned plays by hundreds of ground-breaking writers, from Sarah Kane and Debbie Tucker Green to Mark Ravenhill, Lucy Kirkwood and beyond.
What does our partnership involve?
Echoing the roots of its iconic Chelsea location – once a swinging hub of culture during the 1960s – the Royal Court continues to push creative boundaries, immersing its patrons in new and thought-provoking plays, many of which go on to win numerous awards. Riverstone is honoured to support the theatre in its endeavours to stage a variety of shows while giving residents exclusive access to unique behind-the-scenes events and previews.
