Bishops Avenue: a catch up with Christian

Share:

We are delighted to introduce our newest General Manager, Christian, who brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to Riverstone. Joining us at our new residence Bishops Avenue, coming soon, Christian is passionate about creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for our residents.

Read on to discover what he looks forward to bringing to Riverstone Living.

As you look ahead to the opening of Bishops Avenue, what opportunities do you see to create a truly exceptional lifestyle for residents?

Bishops Avenue is an opportunity to redefine what luxury later-life living can be. First and foremost, it’s about building an exceptional community where our residents feel supported to live life to the fullest.

We’re aiming for a balance – bringing together creative arts, wellbeing, and independent living in a way that feels seamless and hassle-free. I’m committed to open dialogue, and I’ll be hosting weekly forums with residents to ensure everyone is part of this exciting journey.

What principles or values guide you as a leader?

For me, honesty, pragmatism, curiosity, accountability, and challenging the norm are fundamental. I strive to see opportunities where others might see challenges, and I lead by example.

At Bishops Avenue, I want to create autonomy within my team, giving them the chance to exceed expectations and develop their own leadership styles. My philosophy is simple: today, we create tomorrow.

What’s one thing about you – perhaps a hobby or interest – that might surprise our residents?

My partner Helena has been very patient with my slightly unconventional take on wellbeing! While she’s an advocate of meditation and balance, I find my peace through skiing, diving, and cycling the streets of London.

I also have a lifelong dream of sailing around the globe one day, but I’m still working on persuading her that these activities really do offer balance and reflection!

For Christian, honesty, pragmatism, curiosity, accountability, and challenging the norm are fundamental. I strive to see opportunities where others might see challenges, and I lead by example.

He is full of energy and finds his peace in skiing, diving, and cycling the streets of London. He is looking forward to bringing this energy to bringing a lively community to our new residence.
