Riverstone held an exclusive workshop for guests of all artistic levels with Diana Moran BEM and our Community Manager Richard Tait, as they introduced the art of urban landscape painting in our creative space, The Harnsa, at Riverstone Kensington. The art workshop was fully equipped with canvases, aprons, brushes and acrylic paint for guests to paint their own urban London landscape. Richard guided guests in three stages, beginning with painting the canvas blue to represent the London sky, creating an outline of the city and filling in the buildings with their preferred colours. Each guest created a talented and personal piece that they chose to either take home or return to retouch, as The Harnsa is always open for moments of creativity.

Attendees were then welcomed to our resident Italian restaurant and bar, Maria G’s where they dined on a light lunch from the latest sustainable menu and reflected on their morning of creativeness.

The artistic connection between Diana and Richard resulted in a successful workshop as both Diana and Richard have an undeniable interest in art. Richard is an accomplished artist, having taught painting in up to 30 schools and ran an art camp in Bermuda for many years. Diana has created a household name for herself as ‘The Green Goddess’ since being introduced to our screens in the 80’s, with her infamous approach to fitness and wellbeing. Inspiring the British public, she has since become a broadcaster, author and a regular commentator on both the TV and radio. During her free time, Diana followed her passion of the arts and began evening art classes. For Diana, this creative process was incredibly enjoyable and soon became a hobby of relaxation.  It was a wonderful opportunity for Diana to meet with guests as she described the day as a ‘great moment to bring the Riverstone community together in a fun and creative way’.

The event was a wonderful success with some fantastic art work from residents who have already moved in and those considering a move to Riverstone.
