Maria G’s to open second restaurant at Riverstone Fulham

07 October 2022

After his successful summer launch in Riverstone Kensington, Robin Gill is set to open a second Maria G’s in Fulham next month. The opening will coincide with the launch of Riverstone Fulham, a new residence that sits perfectly along the River Thames. The restaurant will feature a prominent riverside terrace with a retractable roof and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, appropriate for all occasions. Additionally, there will be a separate 50-cover bar accompanied by a small terrace led by Bar Manager Emmanuel Ferris-Hue who will be on hand to create his twist on classic Italian cocktails and recommend your favourite Italian wine.

‘The plan was always to open two Maria G’s restaurants, each with a totally unique identity’ says Gill. ‘The reaction we’ve had for Kensington has been wonderful and now I’m absolutely thrilled to share the new seafood-focussed menu we’ve created for Fulham – and the riverside setting of the new restaurant is just incredible’

To reflect the ambiance of the river, Robin has designed a menu focusing on seafood; the main feature being a raw bar. Maintaining the ethos of his sustainable approach, dishes will include hand-dived scallop crudo with green mandarin, chilli and coriander; razor clams dressed in gremolata; as well as citrus-cured chalk steam trout. Pasta dishes reflect our move into the Autumnal season as guests can dine on baked lobster orzo with winter tomato, fennel and vault vermouth and spaghetti alla ‘Nerano’, a fried courgette and provolone cheese, a dish in honour of Gill’s time cooking in the Amalfi Coast.

In ode to the Kensington menu, staples such aged parmesan fries, herbed-focaccia and sage and anchovy fritti will be on offer as the perfect sharing plates whilst guests lounge on a mix of leather seats and cream-coloured booths.

Executive chef Aaron Potter shares that ‘The food at Maria G’s is exactly how I like to cook and eat – simple, fun, delicious dishes made with beautiful ingredients. Developing the menu with Robin has been a real joy – we bounce ideas off each other naturally and it’s great to see the new menu for our Fulham restaurant develop that way. We can’t wait to share what we’ve created with everyone’.

Reservations will take place next month. Until then, we welcome you to join us at Maria G’s Kensington. To make a booking, please call 020 3479 3772. Alternatively you can book online by following the link here.
